Brother Printer Drum replacement

The Brother MFC-L27xxDW black and white laser multifunction printers are designed with the toner and imaging drum as separate parts. The idea is that the drum unit does not have to be replaced as much as the toner.
The imaging drum should last 30 000 pages.

After the new  drum is inserted in the Brother printer, the counter needs to be reset manually using the instructions below otherwise it will continue to tell you to replace the drum.

It is an easy process in five steps. Follow the steps as shown below and this will stop the drum reminder and reset the drum counter.

  1. Make sure the machine is turned ON.
  2. Close the front cover.
  3. Press 
    Cancel
    (Cancel).
  4. Press and hold
    Toner
     Toner Icon for FIVE seconds
    or until the screen changes. 
    (The toner ICON is on the bottom right hand side of the LED screen.)
  5. Reset Drum will appear in the LED Screen
  6. Tap Drum, and then press Yes.
